Systems Engineer from the University of Los Andes (ULA) Merida, Venezuela. Maureen started to merge into the Internet ecosystem by completing the CISCO CCNA curricula in the Escuela Latinoamericana de Redes (ESLARED) founded by Ermanno Pietrosemoli in ULA; In 2013 became an ISOC Fellow and assisted to the IETF-83 and since then she’s been focused on wireless communications and Internet Governance. She's a former trainee of the WALC in a couple occasions highlighting wireless networks for data transmission WIFI & WiMAX and Internet Of Things (IoT). In 2014 participated in the School on Applications of Open Spectrum and White Spaces technologies at the Abdus Salam International Center of Theoretical Physics (ICTP) and started to experiment on spectrum sensing strategies with low-cost devices. She has participated in roundtables on Community Networks, Dynamic Spectrum Alliance, Internet Governance Forums, Dynamic Coalition For Community Connectivity (DC3), World Development Telecommunication Conferences (WTDC) and recently on the ITU Study Groups on access.
