Since 2011 he coordinates Rhizomatica, the organization that has created the first Indigenous Community Cellular Telephony Network in the world. He has a Master's Degree in Rural Development from UAM Xochimilco and a BA in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. He is the founder and former director of Juntos, an organization dedicated to defending the human rights of Latino immigrants. He worked in Nigeria for two years where he supported the creation of the Media for Justice project.
