Goethe University Frankfurt
is a trained social scientist with a BA degree in Media, Communication and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Bremen, Germany. He is currently an MA candidate for the program in Science and Technology Studies (STS) at Goethe University Frankfurt and the University of California, Irvine as part of a Fulbright fellowship. His work includes an ethnographic field study on free wireless network installations in German refugee shelters, which was awarded the 2017 DARIAH-DE DH Award for emerging scholars in the digital humanities. Additionally, he has produced short documentary films on hacker collectives in Istanbul and Vienna.
